Religious practice

I perform my wajibats regularly. I actively participate in religious activities. I help lead the local youth group and try to focus my energy on that. I am born and raised in Dallas and come from a Pakistani khoja background, though such distinctions don't matter to me.

My partner preferences

I am looking for someone who understands the ups downs of life and is willing to walk that road with me. I would also hope my partner knows how to have fun but also hold a deep conversation. I am looking for someone who will be a good friend not just a good wife. Someone who knows the importance being calm and patient and the rewards that brings. I dislike drama and love someone who's shows calm and patience in their personality. I am looking for a partner who will be with me in growing into the service of Allah.

I know my partner will find a friend, confidante and partner in me. She can expect me to respect her and her family. I am the calmest person you'll probably ever meet and if your a sci fi fan, I'd say I'm more Spock than Kirk, and if you get that reference, you're probably the one lol, but if you don't, thats ok, no one is perfect lol. I am an easy going, good natured person and I hope my partner would be similar. I would describe myself as a calm, rational and laid back person. I am not the loudest person in a room or the most talkative, though that is not to say I am shy or dispassionate. I would say I am an excellent listener and love to have deep conversations. I get along great with everyone, regardless of how we may differ, even if I disagree strongly with someone, I do everything I can to keep things friendly as I think that is the best way to approach people and life. I am passionate about my faith and the causes I support, though that is not to say I do either the justice they deserve. I enjoy reading, watching movies(documentaries and general cinema), keeping up with current events(politics and events in the Islamic World), hanging out with friends and having a good time. Some areas of interest for me are computers and technology, science fiction and fantasy, religious material(especially comparative religion) politics and finance, though I do love learning about anything and everything of interest and have probably spent too much time page hopping on Wikipedia into the wee hours of the night and would thus say I know at least a little bit about a lot of things. This really helps in trivia games, which I love playing with friends btw. Spending time with friends and family is very important to me. I enjoy the outdoors though I dont get out as much as I used to, I still try and play sports or go out and exercise as much as I can. I am very active at my masjid and enjoy helping out with activities like community BBQs and youth camps. I definitely love hanging out with friends. Sometimes that means tea and board games, going out for dinner, or just getting together at someones place and playing something in a big group. I always try to keep all my fun halal and would want my partner to want the same.
