Religious practice

I have followed Islam with a scholarly as well as a religious interest and have read multiple books on its formation, laws, Imam Ali, and our 12 Imams. I have also read the Quran in English multiple times as I believe it was given to us to be understood and to also act as a guide to living our lives. I believe this religion came for the insightful mind. I have tried to absorb Nahj Ul Balagah as much as I could. It is one of the most important books I have ever read, it has changed the course of my life. I read religious books with a critical thinking framework and try to connect religion with science.

My partner preferences

My religious expectation from my partner can be summarised to be a person who follows the religion by choice and not as a product of their birth. I am looking for an intelligent individual with whom I can share my ideas about life, soul and everything in between, a kind of person who reads and is always chasing knowledge. I want to have interesting conversations with her. To put it simply, I am looking for a human who likes exploring the wider perspective of life and is not too keen on the materialistic tendencies, plus having a good sense of humour would also kinda help.

More about me

I do not like to follow the crowd, I am doing a lot of things to improve on many spectra of life. Just recently I left all social media sites and started investing my time on much more productive activities. My next big challenge is to reach a total of 100 books read by the end of 2019. I am quite active on Goodreads(the social media for readers) and if you are too then that would be like the cherry on top. I watch movies and read books selectively as I believe with a strong conviction that we become what we consume. I used to be a different person years ago but in these past few years, my whole idea about life has completely overhauled. I hope and pray each day that God help me become more generous and knowledgeable.
