My Reflections in Solitude: Praise be to Allah for bringing us into existence that is nurtured with intellect and considered us worthy to recognize Him through the light of intellect. Praise be to Allah for teaching us what we didn't know (96:5) and allowed us to communicate with Him and He is the Hearing, the Knowing (26:220). Praise be to Allah for granting us means to communicate with the rest of mankind so that we may exchange thoughts, seek closeness to Him, find the Truth, unite, share love and support each other. Praise be to Allah for His Beneficence and Mercy toward His creation, gave us purpose in our existence, reward us multifold for eternity in exchange for the small good we do in a short time period. Praise be to Allah, because He deserve to be praised, the One, the Exalted. Oh Allah, guide us in your trials, as you have said: "We most certainly shall test you through fear, hunger, loss of life, property, and crops. Give glad news to the people who have patience. Who, when a calamity befalls them, say: Surely we are Allah's and to Him we shall surely return. Those are they on whom are blessings and mercy from their Lord, and those are the followers of the right course." (2:155-157)
Purpose of Marriage: Marriage and the bond between man and woman is one of the greatest signs of God as it brings tranquility in life if selected properly and purpose and goals of one another in life align well: "And one of His signs is that He created mates for you from yourselves that you may find rest in them, and He put between you love and compassion; most surely there are signs in this for a people who reflect." (30:21) At the same time, I strongly believe that our actions and behaviors are effects of our philosophy and thinking in life. Hence, a successful bond lies behind investigating one another's goals and drives in life. But the result of such sacred bond is not just tranquility in life: it is the best means for spreading the Truth through the upbringing. Albeit small in quantity, the impact that an individual with the correct philosophy and nurture can bring to mankind is remarkable.
Short Bio: I was born and raised in Tehran until 11th grade. I then decided to move to the US to continue my education at Purdue University in BSc. in Computer Technology and MSc. in Information Systems from Indiana University. Upon my graduation in late 2013, I relocated to San Jose, CA to start my career as an IT Consultant at Accenture. In addition to working full-time, I have co-founded a startup in the field of medical devices. I did have a marriage when I was very young and only 21 years old. It was a trial for me as we are all tested in life in different ways. I wouldn't publicize what happened here as it's not moral, but I'm happy to have a private talk about it as it's also your right to know more. Happy to hear about your criteria and main goals in life. May Allah Help you all in this life-changing decision and give us wisdom to choose the other half which would have perpetual blessings with righteous offspring: "They pray, 'Lord, let our spouses and children be the delight of our eyes and ourselves examples for the pious ones.'" (25:74) Insha'Allah :)
